When you get the egg-white like mucous, how long does it last? Does it happen the same day you ovulate, or several days before? Does it stop as soon as you are no longer fertile?

HELLO, TRYING TO CONCEIVE. Please read the catagory before you answer the question. And abstinence is the only good thing to preach to someone who is having sex and doesn't want to get pregnant. Sex is not a game, it's the act of creating a child.

1-2 days if you're lucky. Mine only lasts about 12 hours. Depending on how long yours lasts, it's usually the same day, but it could appear the day before. Once it's gone, you are no longer fertile.

Its different for every woman. It can last anywhere's from 6 hours to 5 days or even longer. You can also get it more than one time in your cycle. It can happen the same day you ovulate, or it can happen at any other time. The only way to get sperm up to your egg is to have fertile cervical fluid (mucous). Also sperm can live up to 5 days inside a woman once it gets past the cervix.

It usually goes away after you ovulate, it dries up. It just depends on your body. I usually have it start on cycle day 13 and usually don't ovulate until cycle day 16. I have it all this time. It will dry up then on cycle day 17. Hope that helps you get an idea.
