assuming you're using windows, right click any music file and click on "properties" when the popup shows.
then under the General tab, it should say "Opens With:" and a program. click change and find "iTunes"
after that, every music file will open with iTunes.

It's pretty simple with Windows XP.
1) click "start"
2) click "set program access and defaults"
3) choose "custom" on the "choose configuration" menu
4) a menu will drop down and scroll to "choose a default media player" and select "itunes"
5) click "ok" and you're done.
