I was told I have a voice for doing radio announcing, or news. I'm getting to old for radio college. Is it possible to get a job without the years of schooling ?

I'm going to be flat out honest, most radio stations don't care about any education. It's a waste to go get a communication degree, unless you want a back up plan. Radio looks for a good voice, a quick learner, and someone who can wear many hats.

Yes, you can.

Create a podcast using Odeo.com and once you have some 50 successful podcasts, use them as samples for applying.
