Do you chew and pop loudly your gum in class?

One of my teachers had a rule--you could have gum in his class as long as he couldn't see it, hear it, or smell it. If you got caught with gum, you had to wear it on your nose for the period. Well, I think I got caught only once. After that, I stopped chewing gum pretty much altogether.
