when i go in to back up my files, the only option i get to back them up is floppy. It doesn't give me an option to back them up using my discs.
When I did some checking out, with the help of my daughter, we got to where it gave us the option to use the disc for backup. But when I clicked next, it said something about not finding it.
Can anyone help me??????????

Go out and buy a flash drive if your computer is a millenium or newer. They are getting cheap, I saw a 512 mb on sale last week for $20. Copy all of your important files to the flash drive, then play with the backup system.

If you got a message that the drive could not find the disc, you may be working with a defective disc. Floppies, however, are supremely unreliable for backing up critical data. If at all possible, you should try to write them to CD or even simpler and more reliable is a USB external drive. You can plug it in, it will show up in My Computer as an additional disk drive and you can drag-and-drop your files to it then put it up on the shelf until you need to access the data or move your old data easliy to a new computer.

make sure you have a CD burner....if so there is a program already installed on your windows for burning CDs. Therefore simply copy and paste the files you wish to burn(backup) in Disk Drive folder. ONce you are done pasting everything....click write files (located on the top left of an open disk folder)

In order to backup data files onto a Disc (CD-R or CD-RW) use the software in Nero 6 Express edition to backup data onto an empty (Blank) CD. You can also Burn image to DVD-RW if your Recorder drive is a DVD Writer.
