i have looked at questions posted 3 and 6 monthes ago and they contradict each other so i thought they might not be the best now.

BitTorrent is probably the best program, currently, for downloading torrents. Torrentspy.com is a good place to search for torrents to download.

Azureus is by far the best and simplest one- it manages all of your files for you, you can EASILY figure where to send everything, delete, change rates, figure ratios, etc.
