I don't see anything wrong with it,
especially if the food wasn't very good.

YES!!! It is considered theft!!! Not only are you robbing the establishment, but you are also robbing the person who served you. Personally I make it a point to find the people who walk out on their tabs and I get my money somehow....

Dine And Dash Laws

2017-01-11 05:00:50 · answer #2 · answered by quisenberry 4 · 0 0

yes it is wrong. I am a server and if a guest dines and dashes I am responsible to pay their tab. If the food is not very good then let the server know and they can take care of it for you by bringing you something else, or taking it off of the bill. I have had someone dash a few times and yes I have called the police and they were arrested. Are you that ignorant to even ask such a stupid question? Do you not have values?

specific it is incorrect. i'm a server and if a concentrated focused visitor dines and dashes i'm in can charge to pay their tab. If the nutrition isn't surprising then enable the server understand and that they might safeguard it for you by utilising skill of bringing you something else, or taking it off of the invoice. I certainly have had somebody sprint some circumstances and specific I certainly have talked approximately as the police and that they've have been given been arrested. Are you that ignorant to even ask the form of stupid question? Do you not have values?

Absolutely not! That's stealing. If you find something in a store and find something wrong with it, do you take it without paying? Of course not. You either leave it at the store or talk to someone in charge. You might get a discount, but the store certainly isn't going to give it to you. If you buy something and later discover something wrong with it, you take it back. They don't just take your word that you bought it, you need a receipt. On another note, I'm a server. If the service sucks, don't tip. If the food is no good, tip me anyway...I didn't cook it. Talk to the manager about getting your meal for free.

of course its illegal, if you had a complaint with the food then you should have called the server and asked to speak with management. If you presented your complaint in a decent manner you more than likely would have either had the bill picked up by the restaurant or been offered something else.
What you did shows bad manners and the inability to speak up for yourself when you are in the right. Shame on you.

Why dine until your finished when the food makes you want to "run for the border?"

If the food isn't to your liking, tell the server.

But you probably have already done it and just want someone--anyone--to tell you it's all right.

If so, your nothing but a petty thief.
Congratulations. Soon you may have a number to put across your chest.

are you an idiot?!?? yes, it's illegal! And the server is usually responsible for your ticket if you dine and dash. people like you should NEVER be let out of the house without supervision. i hate people without common sense, or common courtesy.

Yes, of course. If I came to your house and stole a plant from your backyard/front yard it would be stealing. It is the same thing, are you serious. If it is really bad service or food consult the manager, they will probably give you something to compensate.
