don't be shy - it's your turn to shine! don't worry about what your friends will think, b/c if you put yourself out there chances are you'll be a huge success and your friends will still be stuck in the chorus. don't be afraid to make mistakes - go with your gut instinct ALWAYS!! and good luck!

I took drama for all 3 years of high school and was still shy. I hated when we had to act out anything by ourselves-it was painful. I am still a bit shy 15 years later, but you would never catch me up on a stage again! Part of losing the shyness is maturing and becoming more self confident about who you are. That will come in time.

What a great opportunity to "hide" behind a character and not be shy. Let your personality shine through. I think you will love it and your friends will too.
I have been involved in theater for a very long time -- one of my greatest thrills is seeing someone on stage. I don't feel like I know someone until I've seen them onstage!
Come from an honest place, connect with the audience and project to the back row.

Shine.

Just bury yourself in your character. You might find a part of you that isn't shy at all.

I'm just generally reserved. Not very extroverted. But if I have a script, or a plan, I find that I have the confidence to give funny, interesting speeches in a business setting or seminars. And I thank my years of drama in high school for that...

Have a blast.

i'm constructive that the only reason you're shy in drama type is considering the fact which you're putting your self, as on your character, on the line for each individual to work out. to spice up up my self assurance, i attempt to think of that each and every physique else is interior an identical place i'm, and that i'm constructive all of them are anxious too, whether they conceal from it.
