If you feel you are being scammed, the chances are. you are, the only reason they want cash Is two reasons. One They know you paid them and don't want to get into trouble or two they know you paid them and they want to scam you again. So do your plan the check and the document stating that you paid em. always cover you a*ss, do not let them manipulate you. Go with your gut. And good luck.

If you pay her with a check, you have proof that she recieved it and signed it. Next time, never ever leave money under a door. Perhaps it either got taken by someone else, or got swept away in the trash.
If you pay her in cash, always ask for a reciept with the date you gave it to her on it and her signature.

If they choose not to accept the check, then pay cash. However, going forward tell them that you will onlypay by check. The cancelled check will be proof enough in any forum (court).
This is between you and them, no one else needs to be invovled. Frankly, I would pay them this time, but would never have them do anything for me in the future because they took the issue to no one else.

Giver her a money order and keep the receipt. It will show that the money order was cashed by the person it is addressed to and is the same as cash (won't take several days to clear the bank like a check will).

I would stick to the check. Then you will have the proof that you have paid. With cash they can say again that you didn't pay. Good luck.

About a year or more ago, my former supervisor-swore up and down that she would pay me back. Will continue with the lawyer next year, when I get money. Get's my blood boiling!
YOU- Get a moneyorder, then, fill it out, copy it twice, copy it onto a normal sheet of white paper, go to yr bank, have a notarized. Then,go back to the copy place, make several copies.
I would go through ALL this to make sure.

stick with the check and explain to them that u did pay her and u wasn't trying to get out of it but this way with the check there is no way she can try to say u didn't pay her... That way u will have proof that u paid her.

I would stick with the check... there is no reason why a check should not be accepted... and that way you can prove what you paid to them

pay her with cash and ask for a receipt before you leave their office or whatever. i wouldn't pay cash w/o a receipt from whoever is receiving it. if they don't give you a receipt for the cash payment, i would definitely stick with the check. the whole idea is something in writing that says you paid them.
