If you fly out of NYC, then yes, go with Northamerican Air, as it is a direct flight and costs about $1,200 round trip. If you are elsewhere, other airlines that fly are KLM, British Airways, Lufthansa, Ethiopian Airlines. KLM usually has bargain prices, and right now is at $808 plus taxes round trip.
Depending on the hotel you stay at, the rates can range from a mere $25 a night (more appropriate for maybe students on a budget or something) to as much as $160 and more. The person above was speaking of La Palm Hotel, it's a 5 star hotel right on the beach. Has a lovely pool and pool bar, a casino that opens at 12:00 (but nothing like Atlantic City or Vegas, very very small in comparison and currently only has slots, as they are remodeling the table games). Great restaurants though expensive comparatively. Other nice hotels to stay at in Accra is Labadi Beach, next door to La Palm and less than 5 minute walk, no casino but quiet posh atmosphere. Further down the beach in Nnshona, you may enjoy Dutchotel which has a gorgeous pool and very nice amenities. In the heart of the city, you've got Novotel, a french style hotel that is very popular, and Golden Tulip near the airport which also has a casino now (though I've not been to the casino yet). Their pool is very nice, too, and the restaurants are top notch, though again, comparatively expensive. Other hotels that are decent are Hotel Alisa, two locations one in Cantonments and the other in North Ridge (this is the newer one), and a few hotels in Achimota, most notably Cresta which one a tourism award recently.
Aside from eating in hotel restaurants, that would be your major expense. Getting around is easy enough, taxis are everywhere and you negotiate with the driver for the best price. Make friends with the hotel doorman and alow him to do your negotiating for you, as he will get a better price than you ever could, though don't forget to dash him something small. Traffic is very very bad and you may be in the car for a long time without going anywhere. Hawkers are everywhere and sell everything for toilet paper to footballs... they come right up to your car with their wares.
Entrance fees into the local beaches, museums or art centers are usually minimal, no more than a few dollars. Save yourself some money and try the local foods rather than the hotel foods. Local chop bars give you a substantial meal for less than $3.00 or so.

i'm uncertain that Ghana made the guideline for her voters. If a Ghanaian is vacationing to the U. S., the visa applicant has to tutor to the U. S. Embassy in her u . s . issuing her visa that she has money to guard shuttle and living expenditures. the precise volume won't be as extreme the place there is somebody who can info of sponsorship.
