Since Apple is a California Corporation, you would pay sales tax if your ship-to address is in California.

You should not have to pay sales tax if you live in any other state. however, bear in mind that some companies do have a rule that if they have a store in the state you live in, they charge tax.

Best thing to do is to ask the vendor and find out what their policy is.

Yes, you do, if you live in a state that charges state tax. The reason is that they have retain stores in the state that charges tax on the purchase, they have to collect tax and pay it to that state. That is what I was told by the Apple sales person

The only situation when you do not, is if the parts are replacment for damaged goods and those covered under a warranty.

I live in "NEW JOYSEY" and if we get "stuff" shipped from an out-of state" vendor, there is a "LINE ITEM" on the STATE TAX RETURNhere you include it.

SO, check the tax returns.....
