Can i sell my shares tomorrow and still recieve the dividend??

you must hold on to your stock until the dividend is paid to receive it then you can sell it just be prepared for the taxes.

There are three important sates associated with a stock dividend:

1. Declaration date
2. Ex-dividend date
3. Payment date.

You only gave us two of the three. The one you need to know to answer your question is the one that you didn't give us. If you sell the stock prior to the ex-dividend date, then you don't get the dividend. If you sell on or after the ex-dividend date, then you will get the dividend -- but the price will drop to reflect the fact that the buyer doesn't get the dividend.

The announcement for the dividend should mention the ex-dividend date.

No, not necessarily. Check the X-date. It will be a date between tomorrow and the 12th, if by the 12th you mean 12th october. You shouldn't sell before the X date, stock will go ex-dividend on that day & then you can sell.

1st answer right, 2 nd wrong. Ck the ex-dividend date. If payable on 12th probably already passed but ck.
