I can't answer your first question, sorry.

Your second question, though... people who want to buy you something from your registry will go into the store on on-line and get a list of what you registered for. Once they go though check out, they will be asked if the item(s) is from a registry. The person buying you the gift will them give the cashier your name. Then whatever items the person has bought for you will come off of your list. Then the next person who picks up the list will not see the items that have already been bought for you.

If you want more than one of any item, mark it as many times as you would like the item. Otherwise, once one is bought, the item will come off of your registry completely.

Good luck.

i work for toys r us. The things that say unavaliable are unavaliable for the internet only. If they go to the store they can find it there. If someone purchased something off your registry they have to make sure they tell the cashier that it is for a registry and give the registry number. If they don't the item can't be taken off and u might end up with a duplicate.A lot of people forget to tell the cashier about the item being part of a registry. The registry works like this. The come in with a copy of the registry which they downloaded from the internet. I always tell people to get clean copies when they come into the store, because they don't know if u might have changed the registry from the last time that they printed a copy. Once they get the clean copy, then they go and find what they want to buy. Once they get on line, the cashier should ask if it is for a registry. If they don't or if the person forgets to tell them, then they ring up the merchandise, pay for it and leave. If they let them know that it is for a baby registry, the cashier will scan the list, so that way whatever was purchased will come off as purchased. It takes 24 hrs for it to update in the system as a item being purchased if they run it thru the register. Some people will have an associate manually change it in the system as purchased. If it is done this way, then it instantly changes to item purchased. They will also get a gift receipt for the item. I suggest keeping the gift receipt. The reason why i say this is because babies r us will accept merchandise back without a receipt, but toys r us won't. What would happen if the item breaks and babies r us doesn't have it, but toys r us will. You will be stuck with it until they get more in. Who knows how long that would be. Just for your FYI the return policy for toys r us is 90 days, for most merchandise.

When you made the registry you got little slips to give people right? They take those slips to the registry station and scan them. This prints out your list. They buy the things on the list and if they take the slipp to the register, it will be scanned, and what they bought will be deleted from the list. This way you don't get doubles. I would check with the store to make sure that something did not happen or why it is not available. They will be able to tell you if there is a problem or if you got everything you asked for.

What they list as unavailable are the items that cannot be ordered online (usually much of the clothing items). Those can only be purchased in store.
When someone buys you something that's already been bought on your registry... it means you'll get two of the same gifts. I'm sure you'll get a gift receipt with it. All you have to do is return it to the store.

Some of the things you scanned in the store might only be available in that particular store, and not online. Or if you registered online it may only be avail. online. When someone buys something on your list, they need to bring the list to the checkout counter so it can be marked off on your list as purchased. That way when the next person sees the list it is marked off so they shouldn't buy you double. If they buy it online, then it automatically gets marked as purchased on your list, and no-one else can buy it online. If you do get duplicate gifts, then simply return the extra and get something else. Buying baby stuff is fun. Try not to stress so much. It is a fun memory you will want to cherish!

they are just not available online a registry is just a list for people to see what you want its just like when you wrote out a wish list for christmas as a child only this is online so all your friends and family all around the world can see what you want/need if they know that u are registered there. Make sense?

Babies R Us kinda sucks when it comes to their registries.....the items that are saying not available, means you can't purchase them online, but they still carry the item in the store. although when something is purchased (assuming they use your registry) at the bottom of your list, you'll see items already purchased.

That's because they're not through amazon anymore. You have to go to http://www.toysrus.com/shop/index.jsp?categoryId=2255957. When I did it I had to register all over again, but maybe you will have better luck.
