ok so i never wear miniskirts. more like knee length stuff.

and i have thick calves. i'm not a 'fat' person, bc i'm generally athletic. i have big muscles in my calves, which make them look so fat!!! i really wanna wear skirts, but i don't have the courage.

any tips on, like, what kind of skirts, colors, shoes, etc? thanks so much!

Heels will elongate the legs. When you chose heels, look for something in a neutral color. Buff/nude tones will look good or you could try silver and gold. Shy away from any shoe with a strap around the ankle because it will break up the line of the leg.

It's ok. Be yourself. You'll look great.

I'm sure you think your calves are bigger than they appear, but if you are worried about them try to wear stuff like a trumpet skirt. This is a skirt that is fitted in the legs and when it reaches the knees it flares a little. It might even have a ruffled bottom. And in the winter time...Wear a short mini skirt Show off the part of your legs you love, above the knee. To hide your calves, wear knee boots. Boots with a heel that come up to your knees. Don't worry about your legs...guys think muscles are SEXY!! :)

Entertain the possibility that you're not being objective about your calves--they're probably fine!
But if it's important to you to minimize the size of your calves, wear a skirt that stops just at the point where your calves start to get smaller. This will be a longer skirt, though, so if you're petite, make sure the skirt isn't a full one.

Wear A line skirts. Don't wear tight skirts because they will make your calves look bigger. Choose skirts with plain designs; avoid skirts with large floral prints. When you are buying shoes, avoid loud colours like green or purple colours.

A woman I work with has very muscular calves. However, about every week or two she wears a long, dark gray, tight skirt, and she looks fantastic. So my recommendation to is to try long dark skirts.

I have the same problem and I have found that if I wear longer skirts and a shoe with a smaller heel but no flats it helps my legs look smaller

Since its fall wear some really cute leg warmers! I love those things. Either that or wear knee highs.
