no, not all of them are compatible. -keep in mind i'm talking about the US versions, not the japanese versions
--------
the first two that came out, Red and Blue are compatible with each other, and you could get all 151 between the two. later, yellow was introduced and could trade with both the other versions in order to get all 151.
these are the generation one games. - they were also compatible with N64's pokemon stadium game.
---------
second generation games were gold and silver. between the two, you could get all of the pokemon in g/s, but would need to trade with red/blue/yellow in order to get the rest of the first 250 pokemon. later came crystal, which was directly compatible with gold/silver, much like yellow was to red/blue - all six of these games are compatible with N64's game pokemon stadium 2
there is a bug in gold and silver which allows you to duplicate items and pokemon. along with that, the EVs were not set up properly, and you could potentially raise a pokemon's stats more than you could in third gen games. because of this, 1st and 2nd gen games are not compatible with future games
---------
third generation games include ruby, sapphire, emerald, fire, and leaf. all five games are directly compatible with pokemon colesseum and gale of darkness
ruby and sapphire are all that's needed to get Hoenn's dex of 200, and emerald is the third of the pair. you cannot get all 200 without ruby AND sapphire.
fire and leaf are remakes of red and blue, as the US version of blue was green in japan. they are also updated to include all 17 types instead of the original 14. steel, dark and dragon were introduced in generation two.
--------
fire and leaf cannot communicate with ruby, sapphire, and emerald until after you beat the elite four and complete a quest to build a time machine to get 3-5 years in the future (where ruby/sapphire/emerald and colesseum take place)

Charmander (Charizard) lady Totodile (Feraligatr) lady or Male Torchic (Blaziken) lady or Male Piplup (Empoleon) lady or Male Snivy (Serperior) lady For the main suitable Pokemon is somewhat no longer hassle-free again to a determination. i think i will could desire to bypass with.....LUCARIO! Male.
