I'm very interested in purchasing a 96 nissan maxima from a seller. The thing is, the car has been lowered. I believe the way it was done was to cut something out of the car, I'm not sure if it was the struts or what. Some of you people may know. The car rides a little rough.
Anyways, I know it would be too expensive to get the car raised back up, so would it be possible to buy something else to put in the suspension, maybe shorter coils or something, to make it ride smoother? I really don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to this.
I can put up with the semi-rough ride, but it would be great if I can keep it lowered but improve the roughness with a minimal cost to me.
Thanks a lot.

The car has been this way for a few years. All I probably have to do is get some new coil springs that are meant for lowered cars, and this would be relatively cheap? There must be a cheaper alternative than raising the car back up.
This is the only thing that worries me about the car, besides that, it is great!
