How do I find out my SUN sign?

I was born on 6th may 1982 in australia, and my STAR sign is taurus.

No such thing. It's called a sun sign. Your sun sign is Taurus, approximately 15 or 16 degrees, depending on what time, and place you were born.. The other things astrologers use that confuse people are your moon sign- again that depends on when and where you were born- and your rising sign, which is also extremely important, because that's how the rest of the world sees you. Inside you are a blend of your sun and moon, but that's not necessarily how the world sees you. For example, if they conflict, then you feel misunderstood, or maybe are afraid to project the "real" you. So your rising sign is very important, and the aspects thereto, and the rulers, etc. And after that, then you look at all the other planets, what house they are in, what house they rule, and the aspects they make. Very, very general, example: say you have Pisces on your second house. That gives you an indication of your money/possessions, possible ways of earning an income, what kinds of things you like (in the way of possessions) how you spend your money. Again, just very general because you need to consider aspects as well. You spend your money on shoes, or health-related matters, or fish tanks, or drugs, or religious things, or charities. Or you get screwed out of money because you are so gullible. Or you may feel unapprecited at work and so borrow things: like paperclips, stamps, paper, or it might escalate into embezzeling money. You might have to shell out hard-earned money for a family member with a health problem or put a parent in a nursing home. You will need to be careful what medications you take, and double check prescriptions, because you have a larger chance than most that you could be given the wrong prescription. Or if you're in a hospital, the nurse /doctor could inadvertently do something wrong. But you will always, at the last moment, just when you think the power is going to be turned off, or the phone, money will "appear" to take care of those bills. The key is to envision your front door wide open and the dollar bills just flowing in. Or saying to yourself each day "I trust in the universe, and my needs are always met." People with severe back problems often have them for that very reason - they fear money problems, and it shows up in the lower back. If you say to yourself 10 times a day "Money comes to me because I trust in the universe," you'll be surprised at how much better your back gets. You need to look at the ruler of that house, what it aspects, and what are your progressed aspects, what are the current transits, and has anything been touched by an eclipse, new moon, full moon. It's not so easy as looking it up in the newspaper. Newspapers go by sunsigns. You'll get a more accurate reading from a newspaper if you read your rising sign. And then, are there intercepted houses? Again, just a general example. But your sun sign is Taurus. And that alone says your are experiencing some financial things right now. And you need to be careful of deception thru friends, (particularly those with blue eyes or perhaps one eye each of a different color) and crazy unexpected things, appliances, electrocuted, etc. Be extremely careful around appliances. Do not loan out your vehicle, for example, to a relative or friend, because they might get in an accident and you will get sued. Do not cosign a loan for anybody right now. Do not loan money to anybody right now. It may be something as simple as having plumbing problems in your house. All depends on your chart. But there is a money battle, maybe involving a lawsuit, children, inheritance, or somebody from the past. shows up to cause you problems. But be very careful of friends.
There are "fixed stars" that will affect you, if maybe that's what you're asking about. For example, if you have a planet in or aspecting Regulus (29 degrees Leo), or it aspects an angle - and by that I mean the ascendant, 7th house, midheaven or 4th house (IC) then that will have an impact on you life. Lots of places on line where yu can get your chart calculations for free. Hopefully then, you can take that chart and find somebody to interpret that for you. On one hand you're open-minded, about certain things...but, closed to, too-much change!
You perfer to keep 'things' close, and like to hang-on to things. This past year, has also been an interesting combination. It could have been looked at, as a 'new' beginning. You've been getting reading for a 'change', for a little over a year, now!) But, for the first half of the year, it's been a little intense, to really appreciate, you opportunities and choices.
