If someone uses the Singapore flag for THIS...is it an offense?

1. To temporarily cover a soiled chair so an elderly/handicapped person can sit (assuming no other material/towel is avail.)

2. To cut and use to stop bleeding

Yes, it is an offence. You get fined for not putting on your rear passenger seat belt. And you get fined for littering a little cigarette butt. They may even start imposing a fine for breathing sooner or later!

Yes, I've actually seen this done and it offended me greatly. I was at Raffles Medical Clinic and they were out of bandages. The doctor went outside, lowered the national flag, cut it in half (lengthwise) and used it. What makes it worse, he used the BOTTOM half!

They'd arrest you if you did it there...You can get in trouble if you spit your gum in the gutter...
