first fengshui is not intuitive, it has its own systems, and it can be learned/ studied. fengshui is about measurements, precise measurements, and its applications. i cannot think of any fengshui theory that has to do with cherry blossoms. try the black hat fengshui. maybe they made something up to cover this.
(black hat fengshui is what westerners did with the chinese fengshui to make it easier for them to understand.)

Feng shui works best when you do what feels right to you. It's called intuitive feng shui, and it works better than traditional feng shui because it's based on your own feelings and experiences. It doesn't make sense to follow some centuries-old Chinese way of doing things, especially if you're living somewhere other than China.
Check out the book, "Feng Shui Made Easy" by William Spear. It's really awesome.
To answer your question, I'll ask you a question: "Do you like cherry blossoms? Do you feel good vibes around them? Do you like they way they look?" If you said yes to any of those questions, then yes, cherry blossoms are good feng shui.

I think they're mostly Japanese culture. I'm into Vastu Shastra, which is Indian (like from India) but I like Indian culture because it's such a great mix of East and West. And it talks about what colors you should wear or paint your house and horoscopes, in addition to cardinal directions and running water, which is kind of complicated.
