I believe the Indians of the Indus River Valley (India) created the first swimming pools around 3000 BC. They created giant public bath houses with huge pools that measured more than 150 x 300 feet.

Hard to say. The ancient Greeks and Romans had swimming pools that operated much the same as modern day pools do, but without electricity, so there was no underwater lighting. But they did have good circulation of the water.
