It's awesome, right. BUT...when you don't get it, my question is--Do you ever look back at the old answers and compare yours to the other people's? Or do you just forget those answers and move on?

Ive given advice to people that others would charge for and STILL did 'nt get best answer. even though I'm a tin foil hat wearing pot head, i am a success full businessman and it kinda irks me, but hey, you go head!

sometimes i compare my non winning answer to theirs and sometimes i also wonder, how the hell did they get best answer compared to mine, well, i'm not being modest or anything but a high percentage of the time people just give some completely stupid answers, i don't get it?

Well, i cant give you ten points but i can give you a thumbs up...

And to all of those people who say "move on" well forget them, they are just jealous because they dont have anything better to say, so they just critisize other people's questions, get a life...!

=)

I never look back at questions. I answer and move on to the next.

you have to move on and forget about it. so many times the best answer is based on opinions or is picked because its funnier then others even if it doesnt answer the question. just know that you answered the best you could and go to the next question. good luck.

If I put my heart into an answer I may look back, Just to learn to see if I could have answered better. Otherwise I just move on...

not usually, by the time I'm done answering a question that was asked 45 seconds ago, at least three people have already answered it... :^ (

as for reading the best answers, I don't bother unless I've really been looking for the answer

but I do read the responses of those people who answered before me and I usually see one of three things:
short, random stuff from people who don't really care :^ [
long detailed answers from people who care too much
long answers from people who need to vent

Sometimes I do, if I think I gave a really good answer.

I also leave certain questions on my watch list, to see if people rated my answer good or bad, if I think my answer may have offended people.

I don't know why I care - I just do!

Yes indeed. I think the person who answers first generally wins, but I find my answers are truthful, sometimes witty and most time funny. This answer will be a test to see if my theory is true.

I just forget about it. I'm always surprised by the email telling me I got best answer, because once I answer I forget all about it.

I do compare them once in awhile and read the comment's the asker gave me. I noticed that the best answers are usually the most detailed (and sometimes just plain funny).
