you can be a commercial model (having your pictures taken for magazines). As for glamorous runway, yes, you have to be at least 5'9

As for high fashion modeling (models like Gisele, Tyra, who do runway and ads for like Vesace or Dior) no. The minimum height required is 5 foot 8. They're are girls who start at 14, as a matter of fact most girls do start modeling at 14, but even at such a young age, they are atleast 5 foot 8. The weight of an average model at this height is 115 pounds, which is extreme considering the taller you are the more you weigh. The recomended weight to be healthy for a 5 foot 9 woman is 145 pounds. See what I mean. Don't get discouraged though. There are several different types of modeling that you should try to get into. You could do commercial modeling or T.V. advertising. Both are kinda the same. Agencies need models of all different sizes and shapes for these kind of jobs. There are also print, plus-size , hand , foot, petite (clothing makers need petite models to be used as fitting examples) and fit models. By the way, 14 is a great age to start, don't put it off much longer. The majority of agencies in the U.S. are located in New York, Los Angeles, and a few in Atlanta, GA. Oversea's. there is London and Paris. My advice would be to google "modeling agencies" and go from there. A few of them offer "searches" where you can send in your pictures. Beware of agencies who ask for money upfront. Whether it be for pictures, classes, fees or whatever; these are scams. Remember not to get discouraged or frustrated. Real models face rejection over and over before they find a job. Good luck

You have to be taller and if they know you are 14 it is doubtful you have many jobs available. You have to be at least 5' 8" and skinny as a rail. Usually the way you get into it some girls at 14 can be made up to look much older or even pass for 18.
Most of the high paying jobs go to ones who are truly glamorous and almost 6' tall.

Unfortunately, it's too small to be a model! But be sure that this is a crazy job with crazy rules, and I'm not sure you want to live this crazy life!!!

I'm pretty sure the minimum height is 5'6" ....Does your Mom approve of this? You will need her consent. You're a minor.
