Anyone know if I can replace just the fuse block with a breaker block inside the existing box and if so where could I find one?

I am not familiar with this residential 100 amp box and dont want to rip a wall apart!

Thanx TC, I was just grasping, have a friend that is in dire need of repairs and wanted to make it simple.....I guess I might as well bite the bullet!

I am also a licensed industrial electrician, as well as a residential electrician. I don't think there ever was a kit or anything for switching over. You could buy a surface mount panel box, jumper around the old fuse block, and mount the new box on top of the old

You would be farther ahead to just go out and purchase a good Square D service panel and having a licensed electrician hook it all up.
