I thought that nonsense was pretty well discredited by 1969. Anybody who wasn't seriously into "The Revolution" by that year could only go down that path if they're too foolish to get informed about what a waste of time it is.
Try North Korea, rural far-northeast India, Cuba, and a few other rather interesting places around the globe for "revolutionary left(ism)" and be sure to report back to us all the success stories you encounter.
