I recently started taking birth control to help me get my periods. As a result (i'm guessing), my vaginal fluids are this dirty brownish color. It has NEVER been this color before. Am I worrying about nothing or should I be concerned and stop taking my medicine?

Yes, it can certainly be normal, but anytime you experience a change in your menstrual cycle, especially involving colors or smells of vaginal fluid, you should at the very least call your doc's office.
Usually it's only a problem if the discharge is green or smelly (Yeah, TMI, LOL, but you asked), but play it safe and call the doc. Good luck.

it sounds like mild breakthrough bleeding. after starting birth control your body needs to adjust and sometimes you bleed in between periods...usually only the first month or 2. remember, sometimes when it's light it takes a while to come out, therefore resulting in the brown tinge. it's probably nothing to worry about, but if you really are concerned just give your gyno a call!

No worries, you're just spotting. If this continues after the first month, talk to your doctor about a stronger dosage.
Ok, you shouldn't have stopped taking the pills until you saw your doctor. It was normal. Go back to the doctor and get back on the pill!

okay i know this is really a gross subject but the same thing happend to me last year. if you use tampons to much, the blood doesn't leave your system entirely. it sits there and is exposed to air which turns it brown. then, next month when your period starts again, the brown blood leaves your system. it has nothing to do with birth control. so, give your body a break and don't use tampons to much. i hope this helps and sorry if i was to graffic, i was not trying to be!

If the well-known practitioner suggested it is common for a ninety 9 year previous, do not situation. our bodies placed on down with age and a few thing which would be severe at a youthful age would be typical for somebody older. If it keeps to difficulty you look for yet another docs opinion. it is so great you're difficulty approximately your aunt and giving her care. shield your self additionally, and God Bless the two one among you.

I don't think I would stop taking any meds but you should call your doctor tomorrow and make an appointment to see what is going on. i know when i had a brown discharge like that i was passing kidney stones. it could be the birth control but it also could be something else going on there and it would be better to know for sure. good luck

It is normal but if you're worried see a dr.
Birth control pill can sometimes cause bleeding, and if you are taking it so you will mentruate then it seems to be working.

You could have some break through bleeding going on. (spotting) If it's been going on for a while you should talk to your Gyn. to find out if you need to change your BC.
