The best way to study is to put yourself in room without any music, noise, tv, computer, ipod, cell phone.. anything that can distract you. Eat some chocolate (i don't know.. there's something about chocolate that helps you remember stuff), have something to drink to keep you awake (like soda), and be in a cool room.

I find it best to study two hours a day per subject. Take notes in class and review them. 95% of the time, exams are base on what the teacher says, and not what the book says.

Read the book ahead of time. That way, when the teacher starts yappin' about it, you'll have seen it once before. A few days before the test, outline the chapters you'll be tested on. The night before the test, read over it. On right before the test, try to do some of the practice questions after the chapter, use you outline if you have to. Now you've delt with the material five times, and the test should be simple.

How do you learn best?

By listening? Then read it out loud to yourself.

Visually? Then make flash cards or highlight important information.

By doing things? Write notes...draw pictures to remind you of the information....move around while you're reading.

You didn't mention the subject....there are probably different things depending on what type of information as well.

BTW - Good for you for doing work that will help prepare you for your future. Most teachers have students' best interests at heart, but too many students never listen.....

There is no best way to study. It's just up to you to find your study style since people learn things differently. Why not try all the study skills you know(craming, use of nemonics, reading over and over or a combination)You're bound to find your style and when you do make good use of it.What I would tell you to do for now though is to try placing the words in you own words.Research the meanings of those you don't know or understand and try finding easier ways to what the book says.

Make a notebook that is a summary, IN YOUR OWN WORDS, in a way someone ele can understand, the key terminology, phrases, events, or notable items. By taking the time to explain the information, yu explain it to yourself. It takes time to do this, but you'll find tht you remember 100% of the info.

Well it depends on the way you read basically. If you read to yourself and cannot remember, then try reading aloud, and vice versa. Also it usually help if you visuallize what is going on in the story. Try adding people you know in as characters( try to make personalties match)
