That depends on who is presenting the essay. If the essay is being presented in the third person (as they usually are) say by a nameless narrator then you would never have to differentiate the past tense from the present tense. In this case there could be no such thing as a flash aback unless the entire essay was a flashback.
However, if the one presenting the essay was a character living in the literary(fiction or non-fiction) world of the essay then they could be describing events as they occurred(aka present tense). Then, when thoughts of the past occurred to them they would( like all of us) describe events of the past in past tense.

once you particularly love them . It makes me experience kinda awkward sending it to absolutely everyone else . yet I do say '' i admire you '' to my family individuals and my close buddies . BQ : No . to me it means a funky friendly hug . BQ2 : i think of its an more desirable hug . BQ3: who's down there ?! hi ??? P.S : some people upload xxx while ending a sentence and the form of xs shows the importance and the firmness of the element . I had a German chum who used to try this each and every of the time . she could placed x's on the tip of each and every paragraph . she used to try this..

just make sure that your readers will be able to understand that you are doing a "flashback" bcuz it gets confusing when one minute yer reading about something that is happening to something that happened a while ago. just alert them somehow that the next paragraph or watever is about the past.

Sure, just as long as it is clear to the reader what you are doing so that you do not confuse them.

It depends on how clear your ideas are. If someone can understand what you are writing about, then it is ok.
