Rice: I don't recall alert about attack By ANNE GEARAN, AP Diplomatic Writer
1 hour, 17 minutes ago

SHANNON, Ireland - Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said she cannot recall then- CIA chief George Tenet warning her of an impending al-Qaida attack in the United States, as a new book claims he did two months before the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

"What I am quite certain of is that I would remember if I was told, as this account apparently says, that there was about to be an attack in the United States, and the idea that I would somehow have ignored that I find incomprehensible," Rice said.

This forgetfulness happens way 2 many times!

Gosh, the lieberals also suffer from forgetfulness. They are pooh-poohing Republicans about Foley's naughty messages to young boys.

They have forgotten that Democrat legislator Studds was caught, having forced himself sexually on two 17 year old pages, giving them vodka and juice, then buggering them. The ethics committee in those days was run by the Democrats, and they merely censured him, then gave him a standing ovation when he returned to the floor.

Mel Reynolds, also a Democrat legislator, was actually sentenced to prison for having sex with a 16 year old girl, and President Clinton, also a Democrat, wrote him a pardon just before he left office.

Um, oh, yeah, forgot Democrat Barney Franks. A prostitution ring was being run out of his house, and he claimed he was unaware of it.

Clinton could have nabbed Bin Laden, and didn't have the leadership to do it. Don't try to pass the buck.

Once again, no proof. It's a he said, she said. Is there a recording? Corroborating witnesses? How many times did Hillary say "I do not recall" during the whitewater investigation? I do seem to recall that it was many dozens of times! Or did you "forget" about that?

all politicians are forgetful, however i agree with what Rice replied there is no way on Gods Green Earth that anyone would forget that warning.Don't believe everything you read, George Tenet and every other author would say anything to sell their books.

If someone told you that someone was going to set fire to your house and kill everyone in your family within a certain time period for no apparent reason, would you run and hide or think they were insane?

I don't think it is republican or democrat thing. I think it is a denial thing endemic to our society. We don't want admit all the horrible things we have done in our past so we twist the past into a shape of what we wished had happened.
