Yesterday I found 15-20 wasps in my house. They were all hanging out in 2 windows and I killed'em all with a fly swatter. There doesn't appear to be any holes in the windows where they could come in. A couple appeared to be covered in soot. Could they be coming in through the fire place? My fire shoot was shut. I burned a fire last night hoping to scare them of if they had a nest in the chimney. Today, I had two new wasps. Any ideas?

Wasps can get in through the smallest cracks in windows or in seams of windows. It's possible one got in that way and made a nest or you have an open air vent from the outside, such as your chimney. Killing the nest is easy enough. If the nests always appear in the same spot, you have a place to start looking.

You need to go to a place that sells insecticides. I purchased some powder to kill wasps outside last year and the wasps never returned! Do not use water and try to kill them with powder because they take the powder with them and kill other wasps. This is the reason why I chose powder!

That's scary.

You need to get some Wasp Spray, find the nests, and spray em.

Sounds like your out gunned. My suggestion is call an exterminator. You really need to have a pro find the nest. If not I pity you next season when they go from dorment to "HELLO"

check your attic after the weather gets colder. they could have a nest up there. you can also use a spray called ferti-lome indoor/outdoor multi-purpose insect spray. this is what i spayed in my windows and it seem to keep killing them for several days after you spray. make sure to spray the nest good before removing or set off one of those bomes for killing wasps or bees before trying to remove.

They are probably in your walls or attic, and may have came through a crack inside the fireplace

If u notice any more i suggest you call an exterminator. They can be quite dangerous, especially if you have children.
