I live in Las Vegas. Have done so for 22 years. I know the good side and the bad side. I know the things that the tourists are oblivious to. It has some good parts, especially in recent years. The city council is really trying to clean up the areas that are questionable and make living here more family oriented. I prefer going to the outter limits of Las Vegas where you can see the lights and go off roading in the desert. You can encounter quite a bit of beautiful scenery and wildlife outside of the Vegas Valley. Nevada isn't all about Las Vegas and gambling. ^.~!

I don't know near as much as I liked to think I did, and I was in a profession that got a lot of information on the community. I was the manager of an outpatient mental health clinic for 20+ years, and yet those who were not my clients still maintained their private lives within their social circles and church societies and businesses. God Bless you.

I've lived in the same 30 mile radius my entire life. So I know something more about it than its population. But it's a big place, and there's lots I don't know. And lots I simply don't care about.

I've read many text books and other accounts of my city. Los Angeles.
I even have a picture of the hospital where I was born on the desktop of my PC.

The population is probably one of the very few things I *don't* know about it (and it would take all of 15 seconds to google that, so...)
