Is there a photo eye that works with old garage door openers?

I have an old Chamberlin garge door opener (1987) and want to add a photo eye safety device. Is there a kit that will work with older style garage doors?

no,some models had sensors as an option,but yours is to old.no retro fits that i know of.if you want them replace the opener

John. may be right, but I would go to radio shack and tell them what you want to do. I would be very surprised if you can;t make some
