You can almost always get a mortgage as lenders figure you will let credit cards and other debts slide to pay your mortgage first. You may have to carry PMI, or private mortgage insurance in the beginning and your interest will be higher than most. Shop around and find a mortgage broker willing to work with you. Good luck!

Contact the creditors and ask them to remove the bad accounts from your credit report. It will take about 3 months after they agree. Good luck getting a good mortgage with bad credit. If this is your first house try FanieMay foundation. Also Ameriquest is good at getting people financed.

You'll probably experience a high rate mortgage (a BAD mortgage) at first. Concentrate on selling the first house for a profit, paying off that mortgage IMPROVING (greatly!) your credit.

if u have a good down payment...the banks will take you seriously....and, i dont think it will affect your mortgage...but, if you do have bad credit...why not wait until u can afford what u need..? be patient.
