there are a bunch of black neighbors in my neighborhood who aren't that friendly (nor sane). Recently, they have been playing football in our parking lot area and have been sitting on the back hood of my car. I told them to stop and get off, but they keep getting on right after I leave. then they continue this every night...sitting and pounding their fists on my car attempting to make rap sounds and eating around there. I do not want to have to be forced to put my car elsewhere or contact the police (since that might cause more trouble later)....what do i do?

thx for the answers thus far....i am living in an apt complex....and about calling the cops, the prob is they actually know that the car they are sitting on and f***ing around on, is mines...so even if i call anonymously won't they find some other way to get back at me? and it's like 10-18 freaks out there... i really don't want to be forced to move or place my car elsewhere....but this s*** is getting crazy!

Unless their parents are as unfriendly and insane it may help to talk to them about your situation. I am sure if they were doing that to their family vehicle their butt would be in a sling.

Oh hell no. That is some rude, low class BS right there. I have a new car so I would definitly freak if someone sat on it. If I had an older car that couldnt look any worse than it did I MIGHT not care. Either way they have no right to touch your property and the fact that you have asked them to stop and they think they can still do and it and beat on it just shows the kind of trash they are. You are right to worry that doing something about it may cause more trouble but that shouldnt mean they get to do whatever they want.
Do you live in an apt or something? If so you need to contact the office right away and tell them the situation. Where would you put your car other than where it is now? If you are not in an apt then I dont understand why there is a parking lot but is it private property? If so have a sign posted that says No Tresspassing.
I would go ahead and call the cops and tell them the deal but dont leave your name or address because you dont want anyone to know it was you. Everytime you see them out there on your car call again and again and again. The cops will start to get tired of going out there and may actually try to do or say something to get them away from your area.
You should get some little decorative studs or spikes (how those could be decorative I dont know, lol) and stick them around your car and around your hood and trunk so that it isnt comfortable for them to sit on your car. However, if you car is nice and you dont want to do that I would be worried about damage to the car and who is going to pay for it when they mess it up, ya know.
Oh, what about a car alarm? You may be able to get one cheap that is very sensitive so whenever they put their dirty @sses on it it will go off.

When you say nieghbors, that doesn't give any indication of age.
Are they close to your age although that doesn't really matter, it just might make my solution a little easier. Just stand around and watch them while they play and make nice comments. Join them if you are physically able. You might enjoy it yourself. You see if you don't want to move your car or call the police and you don't want them to retaliate then you must make friends. This may take some doing on your part but it's doable. Offer them your friendship and in return they will respect your car, etc. If you go about this with a bad attitude and expect it to happen over night then don't even bother.

I'd get a car alarm that activated whenever the car is touched or is shaken. One that is very sensitive. Eventually; they'll get sick of it going off all the time and not touch it anymore.
Alternately, I'd contact the leasing office (since it sounds like you are in an apartment complex) and make an anonymous complaint. Do it a few times, if necessary. Leasing offices are usually pretty good at handling these sorts of things.

I hear you. My neighbors were wacky trailer people and awful, too, like yours. There are 2 choices to have: Move the car and take your chances or move your residency. I had to do the latter after calling the police several times. You're right, that just made things worse but I had a baby and no choice. Those are all you could do. Good luck.

1. Call the police. Ask them to come out and talk with the neighbors.
2. Car alarm. Get a very sensitive one.
3. Keep your automobile somewhere else.
4. Ask the apartment manager if you can use another parking space.

Um, call the cops. I mean, what else is there left to do besides moving your car or getting the authorities involved? Confronting them and taking matters into your own hands might be more dangerous than doing the obvious choice.

Now that I'm getting older, I'm getting brave. See, when someone bullies you, you have to bully right back. Make your bark is louder than your bite. The cops probably don't care about this, so really no use calling them. But if you pretend to "lose it" on their a**, they might be like OK!!!! First ask them nicely, but stern. Then joke about, hey, your a** is stinking up my car, you don't need to be sittin' on it. Then if they keep on, just go off on them like our mom's used to.

CONTACT THE POLICE!!!! imma tell you right now unless they are truly insane no slightly normal person like the police. They need it... this is why it is so hard for a black person trying to get somewhere to get somewhere becuase there is those stupid black people that keep up the sterotype.... i said call the police... definatly if it is night, and YOUR PROPERTY!!

One little suggestion...when you describe your neighbors by race, it seems racist. After all, their race has nothing to do with the fact that they're being disrespectful of you and interfering with your property. Use the "squeaky wheel" method of assertiveness and drive your apartment manager crazy with calls till she/he does something about it. And, remember, people of all races can be good neighbors or bad ones.
