Democrats: You will not win votes simply by throwing mud and not producing concrete ideas. Once upon a time, there wasnt much difference between Democrats and Republicans. Honestly, I believe that the Democrats have shifted further than the Republicans and Ive no idea why that is. Dont tell me you have a plan, show me. Show me why Democrats are better than Republicans instead of wallow in the mud of an alleged Republican scandal. Why? Because candidates have lost to dead opponents- and I would guess it was as much because they didnt trust who was left as the guy didnt earn their vote. Show me more than mud or we'll see you as no better than a pig, not a donkey.

Please don't lump us together with the democrats. They are relabeled Republicans that sell themselves to our constituency and then never give them anything except wars and taxes for defense spending increases.

This is a reply I made to a blog not to long ago describing the idea that Liberals continually make unfounded accusations of others being "blind".

"Liberals always talk about how blind all neo conservatives are. Quick to cite the stark increase in terrorism that the president has to defend himself from the media, such a gaping disparity that many more are blind to it. We don't need liberals controlling the country, what we need are people who can really see.

"I see violence being met with violence which will dictate our response of violence. It were as though Muslims do not want our idea of democracy and want to live under their ideal if Islam. Perhaps they don't even like having Israel actively occupying land that was theirs for over a millennium. They almost behave like all those millions of American Indians we gunned down or gave small pox! Why the heck wouldn't anybody *want* our ideals? I mean they are the most efficient means of governing and extracting profits from one country and putting it into our own pocket.

"That is exactly why we don't want blind people telling other metaphorically blind people how to run the country. I too am tired of Liberals simply accusing neocons of being "blind" without any reason with so many comprehensive perspectives available to them.

"However, I wish we could "see" the way a Muslim can. It isn't about hating Christians and Christians defending themselves. It has always been about helping other Muslims across national boundaries. Okay, guy who wanted a "concrete plan" for reform. I couldn't give the necessary implementation for it in the allotted time (got things to do), but here is the gist:

1. Cut defense spending so we are proportional with the rest of the world on average for population and area of the country.
2. Withdraw troops to actually defend our country and not colonize another.
3. Nationalize industries that the government buys from to drastically reduce expenditure (everything from oil to office supplies, it has to be better than Halleburton).
4. Have a democratically elected, localized congress of citizens that vote on the level of corruption for all officials in Congress. Anybody found corrupt will be ousted.
5. Congress will very kindly cut their campaign financing and paychecks. Might even lose a few backstabbing assholes like Hillary Clinton (against gay marriage) and John McCain (for torture).
6. Completely nationalize hospitals. It worked for Canada better than Rush Limbaugh will have you think. If you are bleeding in the ER, they WILL take you (a lot easier than in American hospitals).
7. Eradicate all tax cuts for corporations that corrupt politicians gave out. Make them pay their fair share to compete in our market.
8. Nationalize raw materials industries (steel, lumber, etc.) to allow for better regulation.
9. Nationalize pharmaceutical companies so we can actually provide cheap drugs instead of giving Pfizer massive tax cuts for providing cheap drugs at an inflated price to third world nations and making a killing from it.
10. With all the freed up funds from nationalizing these industries, we can run at a loss in all of these industries and be able to provide foreign aid, fix our awful school system and introduce multiple languages (wouldn't it be nice to be trilingual?), end the high prices of raw materials, and get rid of some of the corruption all at the same time.

I'm sure somebody can try to shoot down each of those ten, as these situations are so complicated, they would take decades to implement. Just letting you know that there is a little continent called Europe that is doing most of the these things and doing quite well considering they were bombed to oblivion and run over by tanks just sixty years ago.
