Your vertibrae going out of alignment can cause discomfort.

Regular chiropratic visits are important. Start with maybe once every 6 months, or more if you can.

What causes vertibrae to go out of alignment is stress. Sitting in a bad position, for example, can cause vertibrae to misalign.

Muscles are the most common cause of sublixation. There is a very long muscle about an inch away on either side of your spine that pulls those vertibrae out of alignment (sublixation) if it's stressed, so you'll want to try and relax it. Having someone rub that muscle from the base of your neck all the way down your back can help that muscle to relieve the tension and subsequently relieve the discomfort. Hot packs, hot showers, and stretching are also very common ways to relieve (and prevent) sublixation and the accompanying discomfort.

Try the cat stretch which is going on your hands and knees and arching up (looking at the ceiling) and then curl in (look at the floor)..stretches like these balance the back. A yoga class would be great.
