i once heard a story about a man refusing help because he says he's waiting for god. anybody know what that is???

there was a flood and a man was waiting for god to help him.

a boat came by, but he refused to go.
a helicopter came but he refused to go.
he ended up drowning and when he got to heaven, he asked god about it and why wasnt he saved. god told him that he sent a boat and a helicopter. what more did the guy want?

umm...I'm really not sure but i just read one thats called Blessed Child and the one after it is called A Man Called Blessed, I dont know if it is it, but it has to do with a man and god, I havent read A Man Called Blessed but it sounds along the same lines. But good luck and I recommend Blessed Child.

That is a lesson i believe. Like one Jesus was preaching, meaning be ready when God sends you his blessings. I think i heard this story in church. It is also widely used as a joke.
