The 270 is a bigger cartridge and shoots much flatter than the 30-30 at longer ranges. There are so many different cartridges out there it's a matter of choice and experience.

I trust maximum posters here that the 30-30 and 270 many times could have a touch lighter flinch than the 30-06. the main distinction isn't inevitably the cartridge on my own that makes the flinch felt diverse. Many factors parent in here, the form of action, usually the semi-vehicle action is going to soak up greater flinch means than a lever action or bolt action. additionally the burden of the firearm itself, the fee of the burden, and the burden of the bullet all come into play. All being equivalent in spite of the undeniable fact that i've got faith you will discover the 30-06 slightly greater of a mule, kick clever. All a blast (no pun meant) to shoot. R (-:

30-30

nice gun, too, but I don't think I would recommend shooting from long distances with it. At least if you shoot like I do.

Might be better to post at sports-outdoors-hunting

Recoil aside, if your shooting 150+ yds go with the .270win.
