It is OK to be sad. It is great to be happy. The important thing is that you keep it real. Feel how you feel, and always do the right thing. Bad things happen. Good things happen. You gotta live.

We don't live in a world where good battles evil. The Good is in complete control. You can be happy forever. You may be sad for a while now. It is only for a short while. If you hope to be happy forever, being sad for a while in no big deal.

Sad has a stronger effect. Have you ever noticed a bunch of people drinking at a party and having a good time when one of them gets into a drunken rant about their no-good father and how they were sexual abused at age five. How many people will have their buzz killed? Just about all of them, even though there were more of them.

if you never taste of sadness, u never can underestand what is meaning of happyness.
your joy is your sorrow unmaked.and the self same well from you which your laugher rises was oftentimes filled with tears.
and how els can it be?
the deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.
is not the cup that holds ur wine the very cup that was burned in the potte's oven?
and is not the lure that soothes your spirit, the very wood that was hollowed with knives?
when you are joyous , look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy.
when you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.
some of you say , "Joy is greater than sorrow" and other say , Nay, "sorrow is the greater".
but i say unto you, they are inseparable.
together they come, and when one sits alone with you at your board, remember that the othre is asleep upon your bed.
verily you are suspended like scales between your sorrow and your joy.
only when you are empty are you at standstill and balanced.
when the treasure-keeper lifts you to weigh his gold and his silver, needs must your joy or your sorrow rise or fall.
