It was fair. He basically lost a thord of his salary this year and he deserves his punishment. Fighting is one thing , but trying to kick some one's eye out is another.

This kind of thing should never happen. But if it does happen it should only happen once because the penalty should be so severe that no one would ever think of doing something like it again. The suspension should have been for a calendar year, no a season, a full 365 days without pay. I mean c'mon 30 stitches on someone's face. If that happened on a street he would be in prison for assault and battery with a deadly weapon, yes he had spikes on his cleets those things arent just soft rubber things that come out of the soles. A full year and a dent in his wallet will make people think.

I think it was a fair enough punishment from the league. If you think about how much money he's going to be out of for missing the five games...that's a heck of a fine! Plus, the other player has the option to press criminal charges against him (which he should!) Haynesworth was a jerk for what he did, but I think that the 5 games he's suspended for is punishment enough.

i believe a suspension was indeed fair.....but 5 games? maybe a little over the top. he SHOULD be more professional on and off the field (not like some present and former titans i could mention). he was ill and took his temper way too far....c'mon, we all know that.....the helmet was one thing, but the head was a bit much.....i was seriously shocked. if he wants and needs to win that much, he should ask to be traded......and, before you go nuts.....i live in Tennessee and have been a fan ever since they moved here. but if we are going to have a professional team, let's be professional....

It was only fair if he doesn't receive pay for the game he is suspended for. Players feel the pain in their wallets. If he still gets paid for the games that he is suspended for. He might as well be on vacation.

What he did was assault. I hope the city files charges against him. I also hope Fisher keeps him out longer than the 5 games. There was NO NEED for what he did. Absolutely uncalled for, unprofessional and idiotic.

OH COME ONE. YOUR ARE RETARDED IF YOU THINK 5 WASN'T ENOUGH...HE FREAKING DID AN ASSAULT AND BATTERY ON A FACE INTENTIONALY WITH SKLEET!!!! AND BEFORE THAT HE TOOK THE DUDES HELMET OFF SO DUH IT WAS ON PURPOSE, I DON'T SEE WHY THE IDIOT WAS WHINNING SAYING HE DIDNT DO ANYTHING. COME ON IT SHOWS HOW EVEN MORE STUPID HE IS (SUSPECT).
HE SHOULD BE OUT FOR 1 YEAR.....WHICH INCLUDES THE 4 GAMES OF NEXT SEASON....BECAUSE 5 GAMES ISN'T ENOUGH EITHER.
