My husbands employer has not given him his final paycheck, he was sappost to have it last wensday and he went in there and he was told there wasn't a paycheck for him, he has turned in everything, i just want to know if there is a law on this where they can't hold it, we are in ohio.

Each state is different and it also depends on if he quit or was fired. The amount of business the company does and if they are an interstate company will affect whether or not they are governed by state reg's or federal.

Nothing that grand. Every state has a Department of Labor and Industry. Most states even have a place to file a complaint online. The law states an empliyer MUST pay on the day a check is due. Often time, letting the employer knwo you are filing with Labor & Indusrty will change their minds. L&I will fine them heavily along with them having to pay you plus penalties.
