There was a comic strip about pirates that was so funny, but has not appeared in the Sun-Times newspaper in a few years. I can not remember the name of the strip and was wondering if anyone knows the name. The pirates did not necessarily want to fight and unfortunately that is the only thing I remember about them

The comic strip is not Captain Pugwash, but thanks for the response.

Aside from the old "Terry and the Pirates" newspaper strip, the only pirate comics I know are the (fictitious) ones mentioned in passing in Watchmen, such as Tales of the Black Freighter. Or, could your strip have been based on the classic Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, The Pirates of Penzance...?

The only comic strip I'm aware of which has pirate characters and is comedic in nature is "Overboard" by Chip Dunham.
