You need to have a hair, or skin care license first. Then depending on where you live, there are different state laws but you have to be licensed by the state. Its a huge investment if you are not familiar with the beauty industry. Many spas close within the first year. Plus it takes about two to three years just to break even with the amount of money you invested. Thats two to three years where you have to pay everyone who works for you, pay the state, pay for products, without you getting anything. I would be real careful in this industry. You should work in one first to see how it operates.
