Condi would then be the President and she could appoint, say John McCain VP?
She would have two years to go. If she did a good job, she could run for President. She knows world leaders and maybe she could get the Republicans out of their jam.

George will not resign. Condi will not be elected and Cheney would rather set his hair on fire than step down. These people aren't about to give up their power.

Well, let's see. VP Agnew resigned. Nixon chose Jerry Ford to replace Agnew because Ford had a squeaky clean image (at this point, Condi doesn't) Then Nixon resigned, just ahead of impeachment. Ford became President and served for 1 or 2 years. He ran for reelection against Jimmy Carter and lost.
Dubya won't be impeached because his party won't let it happen, & they are in power, and still willbe enough after the election to stop impeachment ( takes a 2/3 vote to impeach)
It ain't gonna happen, like others have said.

Rice would be a better president than any Democrat.
Cheney and Bush are both patriots, they would never resign. And they both look good.

Be careful what you wish for. Condi Rice is so close to Bush that she referred to him as her husband in her confirmation speech. She's never been married.
I'm leery of voting for anyone that close to Bush.
