My friend and I saw this phrase on a sign that was strung between two light posts in Mountain Home Arkansas.

"Seven days without eggs makes one week the coffee cup."

I know it sounds strange, but we have been trying to think of what it means and we have decided that it is time for some outside help.

how about this. going without for awhile makes you appreciate the next little thing you receive all the more? or
for 7 days you've given up both eggs & coffee?

It's a pun on "one week" (as in 7 days) and "to make one weak" (from not eating eggs in 7 days) The place advertising it, is called The Coffee Cup. As in a restaurant.

It should read "Seven days without eggs makes one week" as in seven days in a week, and not eating eggs making you week. Just a play on words. "the coffee cup" is probably the name of a little restaurant
