You really need to read your lease and find out. Our lease states that if we decide to sell , we notify the renter and we start to show the property. It may be a little inconvenience, but the way the market is, I hardly doubt you'll have much traffic. You should also check your lease to find out about your vacate notice for you as well as the owner. In Florida, if we sell, the new owner has to honor the current lease.

They do have the right to sell the property out from under you and to show it. I would call a lawyer and see what your rights are under the law for your area because every state is different. I believe that they have to give you 24 hr notice and they don't have to wait until you are out in 30 days. I also believe if you can not make the 24 hr notice that they have the right to enter the property without your being there.

Read your lease regarding access by the owner to the property.
Also see if you can negotiate the rent down while the house is listed. If she isn't willing to understand your dilemna, then she risks not selling the house with you in it.
Definitely move out, giving her all the notice required in the lease. You've been in the house a long time so don't be surprised if she balks about returning your deposit. She probably didn't know what condition the house was in when you moved in and doesn't want to pay to have it cleaned, etc...
She certainly doesn't know how to make things easier - she's only made it harder for herself by not including you in the process.

There is no obligation to notify you, but it would be a nice thing to do. She can give 24 hour notice and then enter with or without your permission, for any reason.
No, you cannot prevent the intrusion. You might be able to convince the owner to let you leave and recoup some of your last month's rent, since it would be far easier for her to show and probably sell the unit with you gone....that has value and you should share in that if you are able to leave earlier.

Because you do not own the house the owner can show people the property no matter what all they have to do is give you a 24 hr. notice and they can enter at that time whether you are there or not.

It depends on where you live.
In Texas, the tenant's lease has first right over the sale of the property. The tenant can control the showings to the point of never allowing anyone in.
Talk to someone in your area to see how it works.

Depends on what the lease says. The lease follows the owners, regardless of who owns it. If it says 24 hours....then that's the limit of your rights. Sorry if that's bad news.
