I think it is geared toward anyone who enjoys challenging their brain. It has been one of my favorite shows since I was little. We used to watch it every night. Now I tend to watch CSI or L&O but I will catch the occassional Jeopardy! . I have always enjoyed trivia shows.
They have their kids and teen tournaments to keep the younger crowd enticed.
I think a majority of the current viewers are 40+ but I think it can appeal to anyone of any age.

Any age group at all. I have been watching Jeopardy since I was a kid. Its not just geared toward one specific target audience.

I not sureif its entirely 'bright' people they aim the showing at. But at time sI enjoy watching it an testing my knowledge. All I know that its a really educatonal show so even if don't know much its still a good show to watch and a few facts on thing and issues in our world.

I think they are marketing it towards the stay at home mom and dads that want to show they still are intelligent.
