No... But I have had employees snap off at me.
I tend to be a fairly understanding boss and know how demanding I can be. As long as you're a good employee and don't make a habit out of it, I think a sincere apology and maybe a short explanation of why you snapped off would be appropriate. If it was done in front of everyone, you should apologize in front of everyone. Short sweet and to the point "Sorry for my outburst yesterday, Boss... Won't happen again." or maybe add a flavor of humor to it "... Johnson was clipping his toenails again at the lunch table and I just snapped!"
If it happened in private, a private apology or even an e-mailed apology is appropriate.
Good luck.. .Hope you have a job tomorrow ;-)

Oh yeah. I snapped at my boss because I was against this new policy we had for dispatching our very busy desktop support techs if someone willy nilly decided to rearrange their office and call in a priority 1 ticket for someone to go out and re-attach their keyboard and mouse. I said something like 'no wonder every one here is a helpless baby, you're the doting mother who wipes their butts through adolescence. Well, I don't need people to rely on me to feel important and this is a stupid and inefficient policy'
She stood there in stunned silence and later suggested I provide an alternate solution, which I did -- I coordinated training with different departments to learn how to plug the purple keyboard into the purple whole on the computer. (Hard, no?)
But I wouldn't recommend snapping like that... it wasn't professional of me. And it wasn't nice of me to call out her emotional weaknesses in front of people... I get paid to work, not blast her emotional inadequacies. :)

There was a major layoff at a company I used to work for. I was barely spared. The following workday the general manager of the place came walking through like nothing had happened, smiling and waving at everybody.I motioned him to come over, and told him I was surprised to see him.He wondered why.I explained that he had failed 80 families and was a lousy manager in my opinion, and I was surprised to see him because he should have resigned. He walked away muttering to himself.I still don't think he understands what I was telling him.

Yes. I was having really bad PMS one time and I just let him have it verbally for some little thing he said. But he was really nice about it. He just gave me his Cary Grant smile and said "Ouch". I apologized later and he has actually been nicer to me since then. He smiles at me a lot (there are a lot of women who work here) so maybe he likes me now.

Once I had a manager that kept asking me the same question and I kept answering it the same way,and I finally said why don't you just let it go,and he just looked at me all wild eyed and walked off and never brought it up again.Guess I got lucky there.

yes. Nothing happened. I quit one job after four years, the second one after two years. If you work your *** off and prove your value to the company, you can get away with a lot ! Thinking you work hard and actually working hard however are not the same thing. You actually have to work hard.
