they "employ" for political motives? Just wondering why someone like Osama bin Laden, for example, praises and exalts the "martyrs" he uses, supports, etc., points out how virtuous these "martyrs" are , and points out how they will be rewarded in the next life. If this is the case and they believe such things, why don't more of the actual leaders of Islamic radicalism participate in such "martyrdom" acts instead of sending their followers to sacrifice themselves?

Guess they don't really believe the bull they are peddaling....I suppose 72 virgins just isn't enough incentive to blow yourself and a lot of other innocent people to bits.
And doesn't anybody else wonder where this supply of 72 virgins per martyr comes from??? Are they like sea monkeys...just add water and there they are...???
Personally I think these men are black hearted fiends who have replaced Godliness with cold hate and love of a cruel and inhumane justice.

Because they are a little less stupid then their followers.
Their followers feel they have nothing to live for so they decide to just kill themselves and take out a few people they hate in return. The leaders get to brainwash followers into killing hated people for them, therefore they have something to live for at the moment.
Really is a sad existence if you think about it.
Maybe they just need some trees over in the desert to enjoy. Maybe it's the sun that's getting to them. I don't know.

becuz they r letting others have the reward while they wait for their reward to come to them. if they "participitated in such 'martyrdom' acts" they wud be allowing the enemy to come kill, rape, destroy anyone n everyone.
by the way y do evil dictators (such as bush) send their troops/followers to kill n be killed in foreign countries, n sit n watch thousands of ppl get murdered. y dont they go n sacrifice themselves, for their "country" if they r so patriotic???

Excellent question ... Because the leaders use naive and immature young people to brainwash them into sacrificing themselves ,, These leaders cannot brainwash older people who are mature and cannot be fooled ,, So the only ones they can use are those kids who believe their lies as ideologies..

Because they are hypocrites who use others to do the dirty work of spreading hatred and violence. For someone who loves death, Osama is certainly doing a good job of protecting his own backside, while hold up in his cozy little cave.
