I don't really understand your question. Depression is an illnes and is very hard to get over. When you take medicine you feel better and when you stop you start feeling bad again. The depression in the 20s was when there was no money to be made and everyone had trouble making ends meet.

Depends on the type of depression.

My sister suffers from depression and other psychiatric problems (comorbidity). It is based on family history (my father's side has many psychiatric problems and depression), and while my sister's depression is managable through drugs, it is unlikely that she'll ever be "cured."

We all go through depressive times at some point in our lives. Most of us will come out of it.

So it all depends on what form of depression you're suffering from, if it's comorbid, if there's a family history, etc.

I ended up writing a story about my hero and the only one I could write about in 2000+ words was my grandmother. That excercise made me cry, cry, cry like a broken dam. Wow. That was the best therapy -writing! So, try writing.
