ALSO, go to Internet Options, and go to CONNECTIONS. Then pick the option NEVER DIAL A CONNECTION.
Yes, uninstall AOL if you are DONE. But if you continue to use AOL, then get into setup and add a NETWORK connection, since you do not need to Dial Up anymore.

Uninstall AOL. Go to Control Panel, then go to Add Remove Programs and never install anything that has to do with AOL. It hogs all your memory and tries to take over you system.

Call AOL and tell them you no longer need their service.
They will probably offer you FREE TIME ...but you don't really need it with cable.
1. And don't forget to go to the remove file in add & remove.
TO REMOVE:
1.Go to Start
2. Settings
3.Control panal
4. Add Remove
5. Scroll till you see AOL
click on remove...and wala, it will remove AOL and all it's componets.
You may have to restart your computer for it to take effect.

Open Internet Explorer, go to Tools, then Internet Options, then go to the Connections Tab, then select the radio button that says "Never dial a connection." Then click OK.
This should resolve the issue for you!! :-)
